Engine Case Weight
As requested, I just measured the weight of the case halves of my new 1984 engine case. For background it is a brand new engine case, p/n 930 101 103 6R, unused and as a result totally clean.
The halve weights are 13.7kg for the driver side half (the one with the distributor) and 14.4kg for the passenger side half). These weights include the cylinder studs, half dilivar and half steel (as installed by Porsche), all retaining studs that are embedded in the case and the oil pressure relief springs and retainder. If you have other internal engine component wts. (like the oil pump, the shaft, etc. let me know)
