What is that doohickey called???

Behind the front valance of my '87 TL Carrera (930 front spoiler) is a tubular metal bracket that looks like it supports the back of the valance in case of curb impact, and maybe helps protect a heat exchanger, either oil or AC, mounted behind the bumper.

The PO had a steep driveway, and I looked underneath the car and cannot believe how badly scraped and bent this bracket is. I have been trying to find the replacement part on our host's, and other, sites, but to no avail.

Will someone please tell me what that bracket is called so I can replace it?

Thanks.

The heat exchanger is your front AC condensor.

Dunno the name..."AC condensor guard" or something similar?

Yup - just a bar to protect your condensor. When you remove your A/C you can get rid of it...
