930 WUR Troubles- Adjust Screw? (Pix)
Hey all.
I'm having a cold start issue with my 930 CIS. You must crank on it for about a minute before it starts. After a rough few seconds it acts normal. I say acts normal, but it is not. The A/F ratio is lean accept for on-boost events which show normal readings. This has been confirmed by the A/F meter and a Gunson Gas Tester. Everything I have read points to the WUR. I purchased a used one (thanks 350HP930) and am sad to report no change. I plan to purchase pressure testing equipment next. ANYWAY, I digress. What I wanted to show you was a picture of my stock '78 WUR next to the recently purchased '86 WUR. Both units have the same Bosche numbers on them with mine being made in France and the other in Germany. Why does mine have an adjustment screw? Is this stock? (You can see it at the bottom of the WUR) The head of the screw has been painted red on one corner corresponding to a red mark on the set nut. ![]()
