Does any have problems with fabspeed stuff ?

Just bought a fabspeed air filter $ 250.00 looks good in the pictures but I have to cram it on over the air intake and it is being squished against the top of the enginebay. I don't like the look of it and I think that it my get pried off from rubbing on the engine compartment constantly.

Hey Steven, do a quick search, they have been pretty hit and miss with quality.......

(but my answer is YES, I had problems with them)

I'll be watching this thread as I have been looking very carefully at their muffler for my 930...

Huh?

You lost me Emission.....

For me, you will read that I did not like the fit, or customer service, but love the product. I think if I was contemplating an exhaust purchase from them, I would talk to them up front and get all the details in the open in case things don't go as smoothly as planned.

I've been looking at the GHL (which everyone raves about) and the Fabspeed (which people rave about in their PM's to me).

I've sent Joe at Fabspeed a few e-mails about the product, but never questioned his quality or warranty. His replies have been prompt (as they should pre-sale).

I really like the looks of the Fabspeed over the GHL, and I like how the Fabspeed uses two pipes (one a dedicated dump pipe) and not just a muffler with two outlets. However, posts like this really get me questioning everything. I'd hate to drop $1000 and then have to post here about how crappy my muffler is (and get the "we told you so" replies).

I wish the decision was easy.

I see, those were YOUR expressions :)

I think if you like the Fabspeed product better, just be up front with Joe and tell him your expectations. If he agrees, you are fairly safe. You'd still have the hassle of returns etc. if it came to that, but at least you hopefully would not be out your hard earned money.......

I have 2 experiences w/ Joe at Fabspeed, both positive. The first was a filter cover I decided not to use and he cheerfully refunded my $. The 2nd is a purchase of a cat pipe for a Carrera that is beautifully made and fit and operates perfectly.

Good to hear.

I agree with "cbeers" as in a frank discussion with Joe is warranted before my purchase.
