finally sees daylight
I've been lurking here for a while, posting some dumb questions and smart a-- remarks. After a year of work, I can now show the car in at least a distant/blurry shot. Paint needs help, am going to wet sand it tomorrow. Car is 1968 T. 2.2 engine with "E" cams. Just finished front suspension upgrade to Bilstein struts,adjustable camber plates, carrera brakes, turbo tie rod, raised spindles 11mm. 21mm t/bars, triangulated strut brace of aluminum tubing, adjustable sway bar and Kumho 195/65-15s on 6" wheels. Rear is 26 mm t/bars with Sway-a-way adjustable spring plates.Kumho 225/60-15 on 8" wheels . MB 911 sport muffler I just took it for a 70 mile spin in the rural back roads near my house. What a blast. The pelican search and pelicanites advice has been immeasurably helpful as was the data from Rennlight . Interior is basicly stripped, RS door panels,early recaro sport seats, perlon/felt carpet with no padding or sound proofing. Nardi leather wheel.

Which white is that? Also, we need pics of the Nardi... "posting some dumb questions and smart a-- remarks." - unlike the rest of us prim & proper geniuses??

Just curious: How'd you get a 225/60/15 on 15x8's under the SWB rear fenders? From the pics, it doesn't look like you have flares. 225/50 I could see possibly working, but 225/60's seem like they would be both too wide and tall.

225/60-15's, how to make fit
I installed "R" style fiberglass flares from GT racing. That is one of the areas where posts on the board were very helpful. They are attached with West System epoxy mixed with their adhesive powder then glassed with more epoxy and cloth on the inside of the fender.The epoxy is vastly superior to polyester in strength,adhesion, and the fact that it will not absorb moisture like polyester and bondo. The one drawback which I think is small, is that polyester resin products won't stick to it, so all fairng work must also be done with epoxy fairing compound which you must mix up also. The front "S" bumper and rear "R",carbon fiber, bumper are from GT also. The ducktail is from Rennspeed. All fit good, but I had to cut about a 1/4 inch out of one side of the rear bumper and then glass it back together. I removed that 1/4" where there was a joint made already. I think this was due to some body work the the P/O had done to the left rear fender years ago. Randy, I don't know what white that is, the car came that way and the pink slip said that the car was originally silver. I just had a local auto-body supplier match the paint. The gel-coat white of the front bumper was a perfect match though, right out of the box. I'll get a shot of the Nardi wheel today.I just thought as I was driving the other the day, that maybe I should wear gloves so my skin acid/oils don't ruin the leather on the wheel.?
