Navy int with black carpet/mats/seats pics anyone?
Hey there
I am "blessed" with a navy blue interior, which doesn't look too bad on a white car, but restricts options with regard to seats carpet and mats. My carpets look very bad, sun faded and just dirty, like the carpets on the floor of those hotels that encourage hourly visits. I was wondering if anyone has pics of their navy interior with a) black seats b) Black carpets/mats c) all of the above ![]() Thanks!

Black Momo steering wheel
Black Boxster seats Navy dash pad and trim, navy carpets. It works for me. I'm not worried about todays fashion police.

My blue carpeting is in pretty good condition, and I might consider letting it go as I'm switching to a RS interior.

I have black recaro pole positions in my navy interior. I just ordered appbiz RSA door panels in black leather. Since my dash is blue it would be too much work to do a total color change. I'm going to keep the blue door trim on top and put on the black panels. I'm also going to replace the blue carpet with the appbiz RS carpet in either black or charcoal. They're sending carpet samples with the door panels. The carpet kit also replaces the side panels in back if you choose. It also replaces the large panel behind the back seats. When it's all done, it will be mostly black/charcoal with blue trim around the top of the doors and rear side panels.
If I could figure out what to do with the central lock switch and the emergency flasher button, the center console would most likely be history too.

Not quite what you are looking for Dave but I have a picture of my dark blue interior with black dash and black floor mats.
I had to replace the original warped blue leather dash with a black vinyl and the car came with a black steering wheel. I can't decide if I should dye the dash blue or change the knee pads black? What do you think?

Hey David, I might just have the ticket to getting your interior straightened out. I have a nearly new set of navy blue carrera power seats with cool red piping. I will be putting the set up on Pelican in a week or two. Let me know if you're interested. I'm in NJ.

Thanks guys
I actually own another set of navy seats, one in leather that's somewhat worn, and a 4 way vinyl set. I was wondering if it would look odd with navy seats, panels, dash, etc. but black carpet and mats. I think that the black is the way to go on the floor, as in Anthony's pic. Don911, I'd love to see some pics with the PP's in there, I am considering them.

When you are in the car with the doors closed, you'll never notice the black carpet.

RS Carpet sets in Dark blue
I'm Bob Breshears the owner of Applied Business Concepts
( APPBIZ ) If there is enough interest we would consider adding dark blue to our available colors on the RS carpet sets we manufacture, would like some feedback from you guys. If we hear from enough of you we will go ahead and do it, and once done they will be availabe through our Host Pelican Parts. Please drop me a note if you think this is worthwhile Bob bob@appbiz.com Last edited by appbiz; 08-10-2005 at 07:39 AM.. |

I'm in the same boat. My navy interiors is one of my favourite features. But Momo's only come in black and that's a given for me soon. I have to get new sunvisiors and they only come in black so I figured if I replaced enough items so there were many black pieces then they would co ordinate with each other!
As an aside I really like the silver spoked Prototipo. Now how's that gonna look in a blue and black environment....??? Simon

Bob, I am all in. Not this year though, maybe the next year since I have spent my $$ allowance this year upgrading the car.
By the way, how do the door panels look in my post? Personally, I can't tell them apart from the originals. They are the ones I bought from you through GAHH! They were easy to install and really look great. One small problem (not anything you did), I mis-aligned the driver door slight with the diagonal stitching. Most won't notice the difference but it bugs me that I did not do it right. |

Same problem here. Love my Navy blue interior but have a dash that is warped by the sun and can't be recovered (I don't think). But no one sells a navy blue replacement dash! And I might be wrong here, but how can you dye a black dash blue? I thought you could only dye to a darker color...
So I am left with either searching for a good used navy dash, doorcaps and rear pad or changing the whole interior to black (which would probably be more expensive and would take away from my unusual navy interior). Let me know what you find...

I had the same dilemma with my warped blue leather dash. It would have been hard to match the old color used or new, so I ended up buying a used black vinyl dash. See my photo attached above. The local upholstery guy said it’s common to dye (or paint) the black vinyl to match the rest of the car and the finish should last. I was sceptical about the durability of the finish and decided again it. Instead I am using the black dash as is, since it is in good shape, and will rewrap the dash with matching vinyl material when it starts to peal. If you need to find matching Porsche leather and vinyl upholstery, check out Gahh’s website.
