Finding I don't possibly need the warm-up throttle...early 911

I don't know if it's because the weather is warmer here last several days, or something else. Finding the car starts immediately, goes right to around 500-700 without the use of the warm-up throttle, and then to constant 900-1000 or so shortly thereafter.

Normal, good, other?

Thanks!

well, it just sounds like it's not needed for very long. i'd still use it until it idles at 1000 without it. my '74 needs it for about 5-10 minutes..gradually reducing until closed by ~ 150 degrees on my temperature gauge.

Since the rebuild, it reaches correct idle sooner. I'd prefer not to dump gas in there if not necessary.

I use my hand throttle when cold starting. After the car warms up, I don't need to use it, but I still do out of habit...

just a bit more chance of it loading up and fouling plugs if you don't use it. it's better to keep it around 1000 until it idles there by itself.
