Bursch mounting point??
Just installed new SSI's on a friends car and the new Bursch seems to have no place to mount to. I've read the threads and some say there is a mount on the new muffler (not on this one) and others don't use a mount or straps. Seems pretty solid. Is there a certain rule on this? Also, the driver side heater tube would need to haver a 90 degree elbow to match the SSI inlet and the rear engine tin. These two points are just inches apart and no stock piece of tube would make that bend. Does this have to be fabricated to work?

I just did this install on a 1980 911SC coupe. I used a stock type 2 in / 1 out Ansa muffler mounted on a stock 74 Porsche muffler bracket using the stainless straps. I had to drill 2 holes in the rear engine sheet metal and put a reinforcing bracket made of 1/8" steel on the inside. It wound up being very solid. Since my car is an '80 model, I really needed the stock muffler bracket for my car as it mounts on two large studs mounted at the rear of the engine. The 1 in / 1 out Bursch that was on my car was mounted on these two studs. I would not run the car with the muffler bolted only to the SSI collector flanges. The vibration will cause them to crack eventually.
I also had "issues" with the driver side heat tube being too close to the rear engine tin pass thru tube. I finally went to my local NAPA dealer and bought a few feet of rubberized hose that is reinforced with a wire "spring". It was flexible enough to make the bend between the tube and the heat exchanger. I had enough left over to also replace the long hose that goes from the heater blower to the passenger side heat exchanger. The cost for the 'Murican hose was about $20. Hope this helps!

Thanks Fred, Sounds like good sound advice. For the heater tube, I was thinking of cutting a "V" shape in the tube and give it more of a 90 degree bend but the tubing you mentioned sounds like a more atractive solution.
