MY BAE turbo kit is Running!

i wouldent call it a "monster" at >4lbs of boost...

but as soon i get a boost controler that number will be up just a bit!

makes the car feel faster! but the spring is only set for "3.63lbs"

the best thing about it right now(because its really not TOO much faster) is that it will not fall flat on its face above 5k!

...

Good going, man!!

See, who gives a rip that the car's not perfect beneath that beautiful skin?! You've got a nice Porsche there, and now it's turbo'd.

I'm planning on turboing my 3.2 one of these days.

Congrats!!

Almost time to hit the road out to Skull Valley or Jerome. Be careful though!

Sounds like the car is becoming a nice driver after all those initial problems.

If you like that, just imagine what 20# of boost would feel like.

I'm not sure if you still have any of the BAE parts but I may be interested. I am especially interested in hearing about the install, shat to do, what not to do, the cost, etc. Please let me know.

Great going Nick, I've been thinking of you and your progress, crank it up to at least 5 or 6lbs, then install Suters fuel enrichment fabrication, and be very happy at 8 to 9.
Very, very big eye opening difference..

will do! I already did a track day with it running 4lbs...

its fun to beat up on e36m3's! (till i overheated)

I did have some blow by... the motor is kinda old...

but for the first time i could really ask for throttle on over-steer in 3rd gear... (but only if you asked nicely)

I'm gonna go take some pictures now!

pictures!

yea jay did the install. I sure tryed my ass off to make it work.

cant weld-test fit-weld-test fit

it ran but the oil drain wasent high-enough... so i smoked like a MB 300D

so close... but no cigar.

so i took it apart and pluged the oil feel line into the oil drain line, slaped on the stock exhaust and took everything to jay.

so i cant take credit.

jay is highly reccomended oldschool p-car master..

I did try my ass off though!

it would have been WAY easyer if i have the early HE's and could just use the stock turbo adapter...

then it would have been all bolt on...

the wastegate is leaking... i took it apart today... and cleaned it up... we will see if it works a little better.

as you cant see(because of the crapy photo) the oil drain isn't really downhill so much as level... but it works!

because my car is a total POS crashed up junker.... I OK'ed jay to notch the MM to make everything fit a little better.

this shouldn't be a problem with a car that is ACTUALLY the factory dimensions and not artificially shortened by impacting a wall at high-speeds
