I have Bilstien Sport inserts for my Boge struts. Are the inserts installed dry, or with the strut containing some oil?
I ask because my BMW uses oil to conduct the heat from the insert to the strut housing. Then again, it does not have Bilsteins...

I've seen it both ways. Personally I pour about an ounce of oil into the housing for the reasons you indicated.

I've heard it stated several times here on the board that the housings should be dry for Bilstein inserts.
