Drilling Rear Engine Lid Hinges
Does anyone know where the post about the weight savings from cutting out the 'tabs' and drilling the rear deck (engine) lid hinges is?
I can't find it with a search. I thought Thom posted it... BTW, adding 'thom' to the search eliminates any results for some reason... And... is there a way to use a truncation character in searches? (e.g. drill# finds drill, drilled, drilling, etc. for many search engines)

I thought about it a few seconds and did a search on "swiss"
Bingo -- the 'swiss cheesed' hinge Sherwood did. I kept on drilling

Thanks! I had the wrong search terms and the wrong perp. -- I would never have thought of Sherwood -- he seems so normal otherwise...
