Porsche Crest Inauguaral Post-Rebuild Mullholand break-in ride

CAUTION: VERY GRAPHIC IN NATURE

It was too nice a day here in SoCal not to be with my newly rebuilt targa.

After much abuse and neglect from the prior owner, I brought it in to Otto's in Venice for a complete rebuild on the 2.7. Just got it back, SSI's, Dansk sport exhaust (2+2) (as well as my new wheels and gauges from North Hollywood Speedo!)...phew!

New White Face, Blue LED from NH...

Off to the car wash

and then on to Mullholland.

The prettiest intersection in California....

The View From Point Mugu

Wow..... what a drive. What a car. Completely new. 28 Years Young again. Thank you Otto!

I'm off to live in Italy in two months. Can't wait to cruise the Autostrada....

Todsimpson--
They are repro Fuchs 16x7 (225's) and 16x8's (245's). I was on the fence anout spending 1000's on originals, but did the research and found a guy in them in who sells the same ones mid-america motorworks and performance sell for ~ $300 cheaper. Thewy are made in Italy. Very nice looking. I know there is a lot of negative feedback on repros but all the bad feedback seemed to be focused on the american racing ones from the 90's I believe. Anyhow, I love 'em and they look and drive great.

PC3_WOW !!!! she be pretty...& what a great place to drive her. Another good cruise is 33 out of Vent. through lower & upper Ojai Valley, out in St. Paula...then across river to southside up through back roads by Somis/Moorepark then on to T.O. & Westlake Blvd. up & over to PCH....
(chicken s**t nittpick time...gas & temp guages are slightly rotated counter clockwise from being level...check your posted pic & you'll see)

HAPPY TRAILS
Greg
ex-T.O. & Ojai resident

You really want a back road thrill ride...33 north from Ojai to Lockwood Valley Road, east to Grapevine, south to 126 etc etc...when you see the "DIP" sign in Lockwood Valley...be ready for a real DIP...I discovered it at @85MPH & all 4 tires left the ground & several cc's of urine almost left my bladder !!!!
