81 911 will not start

Hey guys, I just picked up an 81 911 targa w an 84 3.2ltr motor from FL, got the car here, rolled it off the transport and jumpred the car to start it, took a couple tries then she back fired and then fired up, however, after I parked the car she won't start again, I've had it on a trickle charge so the battery is fine, but when you turn the key, it just keeps turninh over but will not start, it has a new fuel pump and recent engine service including chain tensioners and head studs... Any help diagnosing this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Chris

Do you have spark? If not chck the DME relay under the driver seat to see if it clicks when the ignition is turned on.

If it was the DME relay wouldn't it start after cool down? I've owned a lot of 911's and this one has me perplexed. It cranks fine, but just doesn't seem to fully turn over to start. this has been ongoing for 2 weeks now. I try to start the car every 2-3 days and same result... Thanks for your help or any other input that could get this thing on the road. I will take a closer look at the DME relay tonight though. Thanks

Chris

DME seems fine, as it has spark, any other ideas aas to what I should look at? I need to get this running. I'd hate to have spent money on a car that doesn't run or has other major issues. I'm also monitoring other posts regarding Sc's that don't start so I'll try to keep up with everything that's going on here on the forum.

Thanks again and best to you all.

Chris
