Did some work on the database servers last night, and one lost sync with the other, resulting in a bunch of new posts being hidden from view!

When was the last time any of us received a mea culpa from any company we deal with? Directly from a CEO? Of an organization that wholly funds the service we use?

I've received cr@p service from lots of companies whose services I've paid for (airlines, hotels, banks, phone companies, cable/TV/internet providers, restaurants, retailers -- both internet-based and bricks-and-mortar) and have never received a proactive communication that acknowledges a problem.
