Those Porsche center-caps and BBS RS rims are very nice. I have the same exact rims on my 911, except with the BBS logo on it instead of the Porsche crest. Hey, wanna trade those Porsche center-caps for BBS center-caps?

Too funny, I picked a set of the same off ebay about two months ago. I'm keeping my Fuchs for track only wheels. I had to run 225/45/16's in the front because of rubbing problems. the eights up front bring the tires out nicely. Great find, post some pics of them on the car.

Jeremy, what are you going to run for track tires? Nice wheels by the way. I believe they are "period correct"!!

Hoosier's A3S04 radials are DOT-legal Competition tires developed for drivers to use during dry track conditions.

Thanks for the comments - I was pretty pumped about them... and they are light too.

So what do you think? Leave the "gold tint" - go to silver like ted's darn nice car - or go with a black center??? Oh - and they go over my 993 brakes pretty easily too.

Jeremy, how do you go from gold to silver on those? I had a chance to buy some gold one's and didn't because of that.

Welcome to the BBS RSII club. I love mine also. Weigh them and compare to similar size Fuchs, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. But don't tell anyone else

Mine are silver. I'd say try masking and painting them yourself. If it looks too bad, Al Reed will do them. He'll grumble a bit, but he has someone else do the dissasembly and will have to charge you more for them. And post pics!

I also have the gold BBS's but would like to sell- swap for a set of plain aluminiums.........yoyoyo, I live in B'more, Md., and I'm NOT a pimp!
Can anyone give me an idea of how much I should ask?
16x8s and 16x9s having the BBS centers and they're pristine.

Great wheels.... but my reply is on the Hoosier tires. I ran a set last season. I did about 7 events that were all open track with 1 DE event. The open track days were a complete day and I would run hard 40-50 minutes then have about 30 min between sessions. The tires have serious grip but not good wear. YThey corded on the outer edge about half way through the last day. It seems that there is a concern with the sidewall strength. I played with all tire pressures fron 31/34 to 37/40. Unless Hoosier made some changes since this time last year I'll probably use the MPSC in 05.

Jeremy, A bit of advice. Bead blast the centers of those and paint them a semi-gloss black. Those mesh wheels are the worst wheels to clean ever. A couple of track events with track pads and heat will turn every nook and cranny black. I like the centers painted black anyway. Then you really won't have to worry about cleaning them as much, especially for track wheels. Nice pick up!!! Also, I would skip the Hoosiers and go with Michelin Pilot sports or Toyo's. The Hoosiers are really for racing and I have heard horror stories about how long they last, (1 weekend!)

Well, I got the hoosiers for almost nothing - so they will be my first foray into track tires. If they last one weekend then I will have gotten my money out of them. Thanks for the advice 89911 = that's kinda the direction that I was thinking - black so I don't have such issues keeping them clean looking.
