Different years targa carpet set compatibility?

I have found a good carpet set for an '84 targa, the only problem is that i have a 79 targa, whats the word on these being interchangable? would the 84 fit in my car?

84 Targa's had two different type carpets, the one with pockets was the 84 and earlier, the one glued on fiberglass and screwed in without a pocket is the 1985 and beyond.

My '84 has no pocket-just the fiberglass piece...

well the ad says its for an 84-89 targa, i dont know about the pocket thing, its hard to tell from the picture, so i still dont know if the kit will fit (well if most of the pieces will)
