Refueling woes...am I the only one??

I can't figure out why, no matter what pump, I can't fill my gas tank up at any more speed than a trickle. It takes me ten minutes or more to fill my tank. Is there something wrong with my filler hose, or something that I am missing? Does anyone have any tips or tricks? Thanks,

Tommy

Only put the noozle in about 1/2 the way and it should pump much better but you have to watch for the aouto cut off as it might not work. You can also turn the handle 180 degrees so it's up side down so to speak. Again watch the auto cutt off.

Yeah, turning the nozzle so that it's above the filler instead of below works, and you can fill at the normal flow rate. Just be careful to hold the hose so it doesn't scratch the car.

Try turning the pump nozzle around 180°, the opposite of the way it seems natural to insert the nozzle.
It looks weird but works on a lot of 911s.

I always try to angle the pump so that the fuel goes straight down into the tank.

Just play with it!

Anyone ever have the fuel spill out and over?

I always listen to the fuel coming up so it doesn't.

I've had it over run twice in the last 10 years. I don't know if it was just a fluke and poor cutoff or if it's because the way I angle and position the handle. I'm chaulking it up to me not paying attention. I always try to pay attention now regardless as it's not worth the mess and the smell.
