Makes me want to go home and kick my 72,
Is the hood steel? Did you cut out the battery boxes as well?

Ha! Same here...let's just say my recently-acquired 72 is the polar opposite of that beauty in terms of looks, mechanical completeness, uh, structural freaking integrity, etc....

kenikh 05-23-2005 07:48 PM

PERFECTION. I would love to see it w/ 17" Lindsey Fuchs though. That would be one evil retro puppy.

RSBob 05-23-2005 08:44 PM

Rattle - where did you find the left side mirror? Are you happy with its quality?

rattlsnak 05-25-2005 06:25 PM

Rick, I got them both from PAR. They are from a '73. They are a little chincy, but they work fine, and they are much bigger than the 72 size.

deoxford 05-25-2005 06:29 PM

Can you post links of all your updats, so I can look at them and dream?

rattlsnak 05-25-2005 06:35 PM

Derek, do a search for my name and "project '72". That should get most of them.

Again you are an inspiration!

I love the style, the color, everything.

Just a killer car!

I'm keeping pictures of yours as a study for mine when I get closer to the body modification time.

rattlsnak 06-30-2005 08:07 PM

Thanks..!

Tommy, they are CCW Wheels. 9x11x17s with 245 and 315 Kumhos.

I would love to have a set of Lindseys also, but these were @5-6 hundred cheaper.

Fantastic colour. I am not a huge fan of long hood cars...

But this one has just changed my mind. To me it is the best looking car on the board right now.

And I love the wheels... Congratulations...

PS let me know if you are ever around Charlotte, would love to see your car in person
