It will keep the lap belt tight but does nothing to tighten upi the shoulder portion of the three point.

It works exactly as advetised, locks your hips down into the seat very well. I looked into several different alternatives for my 997 and without changing my seats to allow for a shoulder harness pass-through (like the Stroth) it's the best way to stay planted (that I know of) and its rather inexpensive.
Their service is excellent also, as I had a minor glitch in mine after a few months and they sent me a new (slightly improved model too!) one, no questions asked!

Just use a H clip from any baby/child seat. Does the same thing. If you cant find one or dont have one PM me your address and Ill send you one. I probably have a dozen or so.

I have CG Lock that I am no longer using since I have Harnesses now. If you don't want to pay the full $40 for a new one, I'll sell you mine. $20 + US Mail shipping an it is yours. PM me.

I also used to use a lock from a baby seat. Works great.
The other effective thing that's free is to simply snug the belt down good, release the buckle, snug it an extra inch or so, give it a 360 degree twist, then suck in your gut and clip. The twist in the belt will keep it very tight. Very effective. |

Great feedback and thanks for the generous offers! Dan especially, I may take you up on your offer once I get over the guilt issue of having you send it all the way to Australia!
