Can this be repaired??

The window motor will roll down but not up. For now, I've reversed the leads so the window is up, but I know sometime I'll want to roll it down! I believe it is probably a solenoid problem...can it be fixed...or buy a new motor?

I don't think it is run by a solonoid, sounds like a switch problem if the motor will go both ways. Try to get a used OEM or new from the dealer or our host, because the aftermarket ones are a little weak.

Thanks for the info...but was only able to go up after I switched wires (so now it thinks it going down..but is really going up). Is there some sort of gear in there??

I think toolman got it right.
Sounds like the upward contacts are bad/dirty. I'd try a new switch.
