How does your porsche compliment your other car(s)?

After a long weekend of traveling in the porsche, i returned home and did the last of my errands in my daily driver, my 03 toyota tacoma, and it dawned on me that my two vehicles perfectly compliment each other. the porsche is, obviously, a sports car at heart, it quick and nimble, not too flashy or over complicated. i can cruise with the targa off and enjoy the sun. but it does lack some of the finer luxeries, that where the truck comes in handy. it very reliable, it high off the ground, big, has a great ac...in simple terms, its the complete opposite of the porsche, which to me, is great. i have the best of both worlds. since i only have a truck, i thought i'd ask how others feel about how their other rides compare?

My '95 Suby awd wagon (dark green) perfectly compliments my 911. I can go 110 all day long, and never get ticketed in my Suby.

Well it usually tells the LX that it is really cool how it can run around the pasture in the rain and snow, Compliments the F350 on its towing prowess and the LS how cool it is to be able to carry 5 people and their luggage. The Gator gets kudos for its 6 wheels and the complete absence of a top or windscreen. I don't think it cares much for the tractor. It is a Ford and the 60's era Le Mans still rankle.

Hmmm, '87 Targa and a '00 Expedition...pretty much polar opposites.

Hmmmmmm, '87 Targa and a '94 F250 4x4.....pretty much polar opposites.

Sorry El Drago, couldn't resist.

I have not tried to shove my CR500 into the Targa yet, so I'd better just keep the Ford for those occasions

Well, my driver is a 1994 BMW 540i that I bought new 11 years back, just about to turn over 70K miles this week.
The real family car is currently a 1999 MB ML320 SUV, it has about 103K miles and needs to last a few more years yet.
Both are auto trans, A/C, good stereos, and the performance / handling / braking envelope is not SO far from the early 911s that I have to worry about overdriving one or the other...
I don't really want anything newer in any vehicular area- except possibly a GT3...

Jeep Wrangler - Timeless design, proven drive ability and reliability, made for specific needs, get you where no other car can. (Good representation of American Engineering)

Porsche 911 - Timeless design, proven drive ability and reliability, made for specific wants, get you where you want quicker then anyone else. (Good representation of German Engineering)

My other car is a toyota truck. That beast has over 200,000 miles on it and runs like a champ. It does the labor portion of my driving. Plus, it has A/C.

The X5 4.6is I have is the perfect compliment to a 911. Not only can I tow with it effortlessly at 85mph all day, but on its own, it is a nifty, very stiff handling car. Much like my 911.

It relegates the wife-mobile to the driveway.

My only car is the Porsche. My wife's truck is a '96 Jeep Cherokee, which complements the P-car well.

Now if I only had a Ducati Multistrada...

It gives my Honda Pilot another mission in life (besides use as a bad road camper, dawg transit, & ski-mobile) it also gets to haul engines, transmissions, bumpers, and other parts. I also use the Honda when its really hot -- it pollutes a lot less (ULEV) which is imp. in hot weather, and - oh yeh - it has A/C.

Mine compliment each other perfectly. One hauls, the other hauls @$$. In their respective fields of expertise, they excel. Both are not perfectly civilized but certainly have a lot of character that more than makes up for it. Life is good

An '03 AWD Mazda Tribute and a '05 GMC Sierra 4X4 Z71. These 2 can be abused I.E., parked outside, driven every day, washed sparingly, hardly ever waxed, driven through a car wash and ignored so that the one that really matters gets the time and attention it deserves.
I just wish the shop would [after 7 weeks] finish [start?!] with the 3.6 conversion and suspension upgrade/rebuild. I just want to drive it to see how good its' going to be!

Surfer, right now, the Porsche doesn't provide a counterpoint to my other vehicle... but my goal is to pretty much end up the same as you are. Porsche and a Tacoma. I had a 4x2 Taco a few years back, and it was a great truck. I regret trading it in... I had 130k on it, and it was just as strong as it was when I got it. Reliable as the day is long.

I intend to either wait until I pay off my Tiburon, or sell it when I can break even on it, and get another Tacoma. Probably a Prerunner extended cab.

Ford E350 – Bought new, 460 cid, 9800 GVW, two A/C, two heaters, full Factory interior, insulation, and sound proof. 14-16 mpg towing @ 17,000#. Original paint.
