I recently purchased a used blaupunkt radio for my car (another original one to replace the original that I broke on day one of ownership).
In addition to the radio, the seller kindly included the factory Blaupunkt Amplifier that came stock on his 1989 911 Turbo. I have a 1988 911. The amplifier appears to go under the passenger seat (not sure how with the seat motors, etc.). Any idea if my 911 would be pre-wired to accept this? Or am I looking at running wires, etc. (which I probably won't do). Any insight into this would be appreciated: DCN 911 ![]() |

On my '85 the amp was under the foot board (under the dash) on the passenger side. Ypull have to check there to see if the factory wiring is still intact.

Mine was also under the passenger footboard, but the one I replaced it w/ was much larger and had to be placed under the seat.

If the amp is much larger than stock(wattage wise) then I would rewire directly to the battery and use the head unit tickler circuit for activation.

Dumb Question
Do all 1987-1989 911's have amplifiers - the one I purchased was stock on the 1989 Turbo and (I am told) came from under the passenger seat.
