Question rought idle, please help

so i finally get the car running, after a clutch/headers/wires/fuel filter replacement (and a few little things).

i drove it a few times and everything worked well.

i go into the store to get some ATP fuel system cleaner for my accord and decide to get another bottle for the p-car.

dump that sucker in. drive the car, park it for a week. start the car (half a tank of gas left) it runs rough. RPM jumps between 400 and 1000. Like an idiot I start playing with the mixture screw (I have a permanent metal thing with a loop on top for easy adjustment, i dont have to use the alan wrench). Nothing happens. I turn off the car and try it 10 minutes later, my pop-off valve gets blown out, the glue is dried out. I push that sucker back in, it fits snug with no glue. The car starts but still runs horrible. It drives fine, but jumps at idle. Also backfires about every 3 minues and blows out my pop-off valve.

So my questions are,
What type of glue can be used for the pop-off valve? (prior owner installed it)
How many turns adjust the air/fuel mixture? How do I get it back to spec?
And what can I do about the car running rough?

Thanks
