Duelling Oil Coolers

So while I know I need a second oil cooler on my 930, I really do not want a fiberglass replacement bumper / valence. The next logical step (at least in my mind) is to mount a secondary cooler in the driver side front wheel well to mirror the factor cooler setup.

If anyone who has done this can voice some opinions and recommendations I would really appreciate it. Effectiveness? Problems? Parts used?

Thanks in advance!

Search the forum. A guy doing a 3.6 transplant has prepped his car like that and documented it with pictures. I like it, because you can still hit the curb and not have to buy a new cooler. He had run oil lines across, behind the bumper, putting both coolers in line, IIRC.

I finished my install Tuesday evening just in time for a Wednesday track day. I already had the B&B cooler / fan setup on the passenger side.

The thread Jack points to looks helpful.

I have 964 Turbo bodywork which gives me a bit more room then the stock bumper. No water bottle or fuel evap bottle...

I installed a Fluidyne DB30516 single pass cooler using 1.5" x 1/8" aluminum angle for mounting brackets.

I have more pictures that will be posted Here over the weekend.
