				fabric or felt on dash?

hey guys, just trying to get a plan for the SC project. my dash has a black "cap" on it and is cracked underneath. I was wondering if anyone has put felt or come cloth material over their stock dask. didn't they do this in the older race cars to reduce glare? anythoughts? Cheers, Kyle. | ||

| I'm not here. |
That looks great Dave, Can you post some pics of it installed? Also, how is it now that you've been driving it for a while?

I've promised to take some pics of the install but haven't gotten around to it. I'll do it soon. It's a really nice look for the car. People have commented on it. Personally I just wanted a "cool" DTM look in the car Not sure about cleaning it though. Just b/c you don't see it anymore, it doesn't mean that there's no dust on it. If I ever will dust it, I figure I'll just use that air spray used for cleaning computer keyboards etc. W/ multiple sunny, hot days where the car sat outside, I'm happy to say that the glue hasn't let go, either.

My dash has been 'felt up' in a different manner. I put a bunch of self-stick Velcro on the metal (the hook side) and then stuck the felt to it. I trimmed it up, and used some rubber door moulding/edging to clamp it down.
