Remaking Progress in Illinois
It seems like a never ending project, but progress is being made. The first shot is a year ago, and the second is today,
after the second application of high build primer. One or two more guide-coat sandings and it will be ready for the painter and metallic silver paint. It's a '72T with sport seats, S front bumper and S trim as in the third picture, taken about 2 years ago. What doesn't show up in the shot is a line of bubbling rust down the front fenders and a hole in the rocker at the weld point of the rear quarter. The goal is to make it look as if you could get a '72 with RS flares and a ducktail and S trim; basically the RS touring look without the graphics and RS front bumper. If I do go with graphics, they will be in purple as a nod to the car's original color. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry about the first post. I'd delete it but I can't get to the edit button. |

Some inspiration, with and without graphics:
![]() ![]() RS flares and the S bumper are the best-looking combination, in my opinion.
