H4 Headlight Upgrade Completed

Well, thanks to Craig911, whom I purchased my grand prix white H4 trim rings from, I was able to complete this upgrade. After getting that very important part of the upgrade, I then purchased all the necessary parts from our great host.

2 Bosch H4 headlight assemblies (chrome w/o bulbs)
2 80/100 H4 Bulbs
2 Inner screws
2 Outer screws
1 High Power Headlight relay
2 Headlight gaskets

I pulled the old assemblies and the old gaskets. Boxed the old ass'lys for storage. Cleaned the headlight buckets and around the gasket area. Removed some small surface rust and primed those small spots. I installed the new gaskets and H4 ass'lys then adjusted to the marks on I made I my garage wall. They weren't that far off. I then installed the GP white trim rings. All in all, it took about two hours, cuz I wanted to take it slow as to not mess up my paint.

I still haven't found where that high power headlight relay goes, but I didn't look that hard. I looked at the fuse/relay box in the front. Not there....

Anyways, here are a few pics of my baby with new glasses.

Don

Don,

The HD relay isn't just a plug-in swap! Two are needed, four are best ... and they need to be wired into heavier wiring along with new fuses or circuit breakers to the headlamps ...

Here is a thread detailing most of the process:

Thanks Chris.

Warren, I'm going to get a full relay kit. When I saw that relay in the upgrade section for the H4 lighting, for some reason I thought it was a all in one solution. Oh well.
