Porsche Crest Need Aero Mirror Help.........PLEASE!!!

I recently purchased a pair of power aero mirrors from Sameer. He posts on turbo911 quite a bit and pops in here once in a while too. I put them on this evening and the right side mirror is angled up so the "object in mirror are closer than they appear" logo is not level. The driver side mirror is angled down and not level.

I am wondering if the problem is due to the fact they are off of a right hand drive car or what? I will give a link here to see the picture of the car they came off of when they were on it. What the hell is going on here? They look perfect on his car.

Can someone please help me?

Thanks in advance!

Maybe some pics will help you guys see what Im talking about here.

If you have seen a car with aero mirrors before then you know what they should look like, and this is far from it!

What do you guys think. Does anyone know if there is a U.S. kit and a ROW kit for these mirrors?

Can anyone tell me anything. If I cant get any answers I guess I will be putting them on ebay soon and they can be someone elses problem. I will even state it as such if I decide to sell them.

Thanks again in advance for any help here.

The spacers btw the mirrors and the doors are clearly different. This could be to do with the RHD origin. The mirrors on all 911's are asymetric - they are not in the same place on the left as they are on the right (and vice versa depending on RHD/LHD). Can you remove the spacers? I'd try and get a copy of PET and compare numbers btw various mirrors and RHD vs LHD cars.

Have you looked at swapping the spacers (lower portion of the mirror) from one side to the other?

RHD mirrors on a LHD car. I can see that might be a problem

Take a look from the passenger's seat and check out the view.

You cant swap them or the holes for the wiring will be backwards of what it should be.

I think Im in big trouble here.

Also, did the 944/968 have similar mirrors?

I will have to try to order new bases, as the bases are teardrop shaped. If I switch the current bases the teardrop would face the front and probably wont look good.

Nope, These were on Sameers right hand drive 930. The link I posted originally with the pic of the red car is the actual mirrors I received. Or so im told. Im on the phone with Pelican right now trying to sort this out.

Mirror bases are different. I talked to John at Pelican and I am going to order them from Germany for the low price of 52.00 each, and because Im in a time crunch for an event I am getting bent over by Porsche an extra 50.00 freight to get them in one week.

Thanks for all the pics and help guys.

It will not work to switch them. The two tabs that engage the lower holes in the door will only go one way so even if you were to be able to get away with the switch the wire path would be wrong and the teardrop would be backwards as a result. The taper would face the front of the car rather than the rear like the above pics show.
