Is it just me, best looking 911 is 74 to 77?

Recently I have become the biggest fan of 76 and 77 911's
I like the look of 74 and 75 but the rust.
Anyhow the rear fenders match the front fenders EXACTLY.
Don't get me wrong SC's and Carrera's look great but the rear fenders
look like they just added some flares or filled with bondo.
Now the Turbos look this way also but the fronts match the back.
So I love those also, but for now I prefer the more subtle look
of the 76,77 911s.
Am I alone on this?
I think I want a white 1977 with tan inter.

Spacers are all that's needed on an SC.

I'm sure every other '76 & '77 911 owner's right there with ya'.

And the best thing for you is that you'll be able to find plenty of your favorite cars available to purchase at extremely reasonable rates for a very, very, very long time.

nope....and I have a 75 (built in Dec 74). The 73's for classic and the 993's for over all build. But I really do love what I have.

I own a '76 and I STILL like the Early cars better. For me, the designer's ORIGINAL vision of an iconic car like the 911 is the best, most "true" one.

Having said that, I think Porsche has done an amazing job of being true to the car's original design theme while tastefully updating through the decades.

Love my skinny assed, non-rusting '76 though. When I rebuild it and do all the "good" stuff to the 2.7 then it'll really be just right!

A finned collar that fits around the oil filter; it's said to lower oil temperatures, but the jury is out. Your best bet is an external cooler.

But back to your original question, yes, I believe the impact bumper cars from '74-'77 are very nice looking in a stealth way. Personally, I like '74-'76 Carreras, but I also like chrome trim and headlight rings, which the '74-'76 Carreras didn't have, but the narrow body (non S) '74-'77s did have.

So I took a little of the best from both worlds by flaring a narrow-body '74 to look like a '74 Carrera, but also retained the chrome trim and headlight rings.

I love that car now. I truly do.

I like em, but they look better with IROC bumpers and the side skirts removed.

I almost regret backdating my 77 to look like a 911 R style car. But then I look at those R lights and think it was a fair call.
