Owners Manual Weirdness
I just noticed this in my owner's manual. For installing the targa top, look what steps 4 and 5 say and the direction the arrows are going in to lock the top shut. This is backwards. I never read this part of the 87 manual before because years ago I was shown how to do this and I've done it on my car countless times.
![]() btw, my roof has never flown off or even threatened to. It seems easy to tell when it's locked down or not. Wasup wid dat? Seems like a dangerous thing for the factory to tell new owners this, no? Am I hallucinating? Did the factory ever recall these manuals?

So were there any cars built when these directions were correct?
