Quick 1993 RS America Question

Quick question. A friend has a 1993 RS America and is thinking of putting a chip (yes I recommended SW) in his car. The shop both of us take our cars to says that Porsche tuned the RS and he'll only gain a little higher rev limiter. What say ye RS owners?

chips typically use more aggressive timing and raise the rev limit and richen the partial throttle conditions. Since the RSA has the same chips as all other US 964s it will likely help throttle response and maybe even ultimate power a bit.

Thanks Kyle. We were on that site this morning but thought this site would be more helpful as illustrated by the ever helpful Mr. Verburg. The owner of the shop we use has an awesome 993 he's extensively modified. This is his 20 plus 911 he's owned so feel he's giving honest advice especially since he's not trying to sell something. But since the RSA has the same chip as the 964's it seems like a chip should add a little.
