couple questions...any help would be great
so my simple heater hose replacement has turned into quite the chore and i have some questions...
First, i have a smog pump that makes it almost impossible to attach the heater hose to the inlet under it, i really cant see a way to hook the hose up there besides taking the smog pump completely out, any ideas? next, i pulled some of my fuel injectors out to make room to take the heater blower out and now one of them wont go back in, all of the other i pushed in and they seemed to "snap" in around the o-ring, but this last one wont, i cant see anything blocking the opening, so whats up? would it be ok to put a little grease on the o-ring to help it along? i also pulled a vacuum hose off from some place and cant seem to figure out where it goes, is there a diagram someplace so i can find out where to put it back on, it makes the car start like crap and backfire during warmup, its happened before ,but i cant remember where it went. i'm sure there were more but i'm too frustrated that this turned into a huge ordeal to remember. Thanks!

Sorry, the smog pump is coning out. Sometimes you can get it in with the pump attached, other times you can't. If you keep fighting it, you will eventually screw up your new hose.
Use a little silicone lubricant on the fuel injector O-ring Where abouts is the vacuum hose - if it is at the front of the motor, make sure that your vacuum hose to your distributor is installed. AFJuvat

Removing the smog pump takes about 90 seconds. There is only one bolt, one hose, and a bracket to the coil bolt. You can leave the Y mount and plumb around it easily.
Yes, soap up the injector o-ring or replace it.
