Help me identify these Sport Seats?!!

I bought a really nice set of factory electric recaro sport seats. The guy that I got them from did not really know what they came out of but I think that they might have come from a 88 Carrera Club Sport. They look like the pre runner to the RS America sport seat. The material is sort of striped. I was planning on switching them out with my factory 84 sport seats. What do you guys think since the back seats wont match. The first pic is of my current seats and second are of the newer seats

Oh and what do you think the value of these sport seats are? Just in case I decide not to keep them...

I'd swap 'em. I've never been a fan of the earlier sport seats, like you've currently got installed. They look odd to me.

I think you might like the newer cloth seats. I love my RS America seats. They are very comfortable and don't burn you when the car's been out in the sun. The only drawback is the fabric is a lint, hair magnet that vaccuuming does not remove. They are always messy looking.

But I think the seats you've got are good all around. Cloth and gray fabric make for a nice combination. One drawback is the power seats are noticeably heavier than non-power seats.

I'd guess they're worth more than a run-of-the-mill set of RS America seats. I paid $1100 for mine ~ 3 yrs. ago. Seems to me the Carrera Club Sport (if that's indeed what they are- my guess would be the same as yours) seats would be worth more?

Kevin
I figured that they would be worth at least $1000 but probably more like 12-1500 especially if they are club sport seats and the fact that they are in excellent shape too..

They are not Clubsport seats, having electric adjustment. They are however the best factory sportseats built before 1992.

$1000+ for non-leather sport seat that are not likely to match many car's interiors is a bit rich if you ask me.

I recently saw a set of black leather electric sport seats on eBay sell for $600 (were even local to me).

I bought a pair of brand new Recaro SRD 6-holes for $1050.

I would bet that with the right buyer, $700 (if that much) would be all the money in the world for those, even in excellent condition.

I also agree with Kevin - The early sport seats are too squared off and just look very dated. I would swap them and enjoy them. At some later date you could also look into affordable leather for them.
