Block off question
I will be bringing my car home and I installed headers before I sent it to the mechanic. I have not driven it with the headers on yet, and I wanted to know what should be blocked off in order to keep the engine cooling properly.
Thanks |
John,
When standing behind your car, looking at the engine, you'll see two tubes running from either side of the fan, through the engine sheetmetal, to where th eold heat-echangers used to be. You need to remove these tubes, and blank off the holes left in the plates on the engine. I have templates available to make blankoffs from, if you need, you can mail me at wfick@firstrandbank.co.za, and I'll send you a copy. |
if it's a stock 65-73 tineware then a pair of paintcan tops works perfectly with hoseclamps. Not pretty but it works
