Thumbs down No blow=no go

I have abandoned my plans to add turbocharging to my '86 cab after discovering my euro model 911 has a compression ratio on the order of 10 point something to one, and I have no desire to do any internal engine mods any time soon. The engine has only about 4200mi since top o'haul and new head studs, and is running fine now. (thanks to this board )
I think what I'll do now is go the bolt-on route, with headers, muffler, chip, MAF mod?
Since I'm a 911 nu B (only other P-car was '68 912), I thought it made more sense to throw this up on the board and let the people who have "been there, done that" tell me the best way to go
Don't need heat, thinking about tuned headers like Bursch. (I know, they're mild steel, will rust out eventually)
Other than that, "I know nothing".
The Porsche knowledge pool here is deep (and sometimes murky ) so let it flow
I'm all ears !

I decided the same thing about my 84 euro and ditched the turbo project.

I ended up getting a cone air filter, SW chip, Fabspeed pre-muffler, Borla exhaust. This combination seems to be the standard for mild 3.2 upgrades as far as I know. Other opinions welcome.

I also deleted the rear engine heater blower fan and plumbing, all sound deadening and air conditioning (never worked anyhow).

Spede: How did your mods perform on the "butt dyno"?

Feels great! The chip smoothed out accelleration, cone filter adds a high pitched whine, Borla adds a nice growl. Very happy.

I dont think there is alot of HP to be gained on the euro 3.2s, I would lose weight and/or get a diff. R&P in the tranny.

Should be able to lose 2-300 lbs with lt wt bumpers, correct muffler choices (MB911s are light) maybe door panels, seats, etc. etc.

A 7:31 R&P would really help it scream. The only way to get significant power increase that is worthwhile IMHO is 3.6 swap.
