Anyone ever deal with Tank Renu?
I have to switch gears from the other thread on replacing my 1973.5T fuel tank to something someone recommended over purchasing a new tank.
I contacted a company named TankRenu to inquire about refurbishing my old fuel tank. It appears they are quite experienced with Porsche fuel tanks. They will open the tank up, sand blast the inside, install a new baffle, coat the inside, reseal and coat the outside (I prefer primer on the outside for Wurth later) for less than $400 with a lifetime warranty. Thats alot less then a new tank. If anyone had had a tank refurbished by these folks I certainly would like to know of your experience(s) with them. Thanks Bob |

not personally but I have seen there stuff advertised on spike tv if that helps. at least they advertise. I would give it a try sounds pretty resonable as this is a dangerous operation to begin with.. I had a student that blew himself up tring to cut open a tank a year or so back
