Centerforce.
I will have my clutch serviced within a month. I've been looking into upgrading to the Centerforce brand.
Just want some feedback from those of you that upgraded to the Centerforce. How do you like it? Do you notice a difference in your acceleration? How about the following products: Pelican Super Clutch set SACHS Power Clutch How are these products? Which would you recommend out of the three. I have a stock 3.0L SC motor

I would not waste my time on a centerforce get one from kennedy Engineering. they build custom units and modify stock ones too for added holding power.
Also a clutch will not add to acceleration unless yours is slipping badly or not engaging. the only way that it would is if you get one with less rotating weight and that is not very noticable in a street car. Think about this.....if centerforce really added that much holding force when the rpm increased.....would the average non-superhero be able to push the clutch back in once the rpm has increased ? The only reason to upgrade to a stronger and more expensive clutch is for a) you plan on having lots more HP and torque or b) you are going to AX or race every other weekend.
For a daily driver, a stock unit (Sachs) should do just fine.

After a bit more reading into the Centerforce, I've come to the conclusion that I do not need it. I'm now leaning more with the SACHS kit.

Hi Carl, When I installed a 3.6 varioram motor into my 1975 911S, it already had a Centerforce clutch and pressure plate with a Patrick Motorsport lightweight billet flywheel. Recently, while rebuilding the 915 trans, we noticed the clutch was wearing and should be replaced while in there. The centerforce clutch has a Sachs logo on it and looks like a Sachs except the Centerforce has cutouts alternating around the perimeter of the disk surface. Upon inquiring about purchasing a new clutch disk, they would not sell it to us without a new pressure plate too-cost for both $1000.00+. We went with the stock Sachs disk and used the old Centerforce pressure plate. No discernible difference, no slippage, in a car with 300 hp and 2325 lbs. My mechnic pointed out that unless I needed the orange color and Centerforce sticker, I'd do fine with Sachs, which I did.
Nick
