Stubborn Bolt
I'm trying to install a child seat in the back of an 85 carrera. I really need to remove the the backrest of the seat and the hinge bolt won't turn - is there any method you can recommend for getting it "un-stuck". Any help would be appreciated.

Cory is it a bolt or a slotted screw. My car 73.5 has a slotted screw head on out sides of car. The inner is simply a pin that the backrest slides on. Sorry for the Eyebolt mis-count. Try hitting the bolt/screw with some wd-40. Give a call if you want I will be on the road today.

It's a slotted crew, looks like it might have a lock washer on it, but I can't be sure - I tried WD-40, but no luck.

PB BLASTER! MUCH better than WD 40. You can find it at most of the chain auto parts stores. Largest screwdriver you have to fit the slot, put a wrench on the screwdriver for more leverage...OR...Sears & Snap-On both sell sockets with a screwdriver tip.
