Decal applying question
I am reapplying the black adhesive decals (the same material as the black stoneguard decals on the 76 to 89 turbos)to the clamshell of my 89 speedster (luckily I have 1 set left). The first time I applied these I used windex to position. I have reread the decal posts where people mention using soapy water. Which would work more efficiently?? The first time I did not squeegee right and got bubbles which I have tried pricking with a pin but still is noticeable. Any help greatly appreciated!!

all the people that I have seen putting stickers on have used soapy water and a little rubber block to squeeze out the air bubbles. I just had our work trucks sign written and the firm that did the work used the same technique

Don't use Windex - the ammonia is bad for the adhesive. Soapy water is OK but not really necessary unless you're applying something large to a compound-curve surface or to glass, or unless you're really unsure of your ability. If you use it, you only want a few drops of liquid detergent to a quart of water, and you don't want to get any on the top surface of the carrier paper. I own a sign company and we apply 99% of our vinyl dry.
