Body Reinforcement for 911
My front lower body pannel and gas tank support are being replaced and I thought it was a good time to add additional seam welds to strengthen the front. Has anyone done this work and is it legal in Solo II and Porsche track events?

I assume you mean the "suspension pan" and gas tank support. I don't know about legalities, but I would doubt that additional seam welds will do much of anything, except make it harder to replace next time.

I was thinking this area is basiclly weak and has very little support. I have seen over track cars with extensive seam welds and suspension tower supports added. I can't weld so I thought that this would be good to do when the car is repaired. Short of a full cage there are only limited things possible.

While the gas tank is out for the pan replacement, I would seam-weld the rear corner braces. These are the ones normally hidden by the tank, and at the lower rear corners of the tank. That's a better place to gain stiffness.
