Identify this trans?
These are the numbers from an early 911,(or so they say). Anyone know what these numbers are from?

That is a casting number.
There will be a set on numbers on the rib below the differential (on the under side of the transmission.) There should be a Type Number of the form 901/1, 902/01 or the like. There will also be a Serial Number of the form xxxxxxx, xxxxxx or such where the xs’ are digits. Best, Grady
