Workshop manuals
I am looking at the purchase of a set of factory manuals. The set has volumes 1,2,3, and 4. Does anyone know what is the latest model year these would cover? I'm used to seeing the sets with all 6 volumes.
Thanks, Rob |

That would be an incomplete set ... missing last two of the four volume update set for '72 thru '83 models! If, indeed, the seller is referring to a 911 set, as opposed to a Turbo set, Carrera set, etc., of updates ...

The set is for 911.
I have a race car that is a '77. The drive train is '71. (Required to have 2.2L for the class) |

I have a set of 4 and they're not all that. Unless you're a collector, you'll be much better off with the Bentley. And have a much extra $$$$'s in your pocket as well...

If these are the 911 manuals then vols 1+2 cover '65-'71. Next there should be 4 vols that covers 72-83. Like Early_S_Man mentioned you have an incomplete set for the later years.

Hmmm... My volumes aren't for specific years. They each cover various aspects of the car, such as eng\tranny, electrical, body, suspension\brakes, etc. Each volume has addenda for later years.
