I used to have a signal orange S, but must admit I also like tangerine. So much so I have just had a 73 E painted in it.

Here is the car I have pictured above which is now almost back together. I have also just fitted some refurbished recaro sport seats, which have been done in leather with German cord centres. I will also try and get some pics of that as it looks great against the tangerine. The pictures do not do the car justice, the paint work shines.
Thanks Alan http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1123777098.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1123777131.jpg |
I had a 73.5 Tangerine 911T in the 80's. Wish I never sold it. I think the longnose Porsches are the best looking.

My 911 was originally Signal Orange... and man, that picture, and several others I've seen repainted to Signal Orange just look NICE.
I'm very tempted to take mine back to the original color. It would definitely get attention! |
If I were to have the option of choosing the color of my car-Tangerine would be it.
My two long-hood inspirations; I think they are both stunning- <a href="http://imageshack.us"><img src="http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/3167/orange15x79ic.jpg" border="0" width="640" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us" /></a> <a href="http://imageshack.us"><img src="http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/2673/tangerine911with16x7fuchs205ty.jpg" border="0" width="592" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us" /></a> |
Everytime I see Tangerine I think of gaurds red. How different are these? Here's mine in GR although I love tangerine.

"also changes color in different sun "
I love how bright colors POP in the sun and change so much in the shade too. I would like to see a tangerine car in a similar pic to this to show the color changes with varied light. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1123828042.jpg .................................................. C:D |
Signal Orange is also a great colour. I used to have a Right Hand Drive 71 S that I restored to it's original signal orange. It looked great, especially as it was metallic blue when I bought it. But if it was a choice between that and tangerine, it would be close....

Here are a few photos from the original owner of my RS, which is Blutorange.
http://forums.rennlist.com/upload/rs451_1.jpg http://forums.rennlist.com/upload/rs451_3.jpg Here it is a little later without the Ducktail and different wheels. http://forums.rennlist.com/upload/rs451_8.jpg http://forums.rennlist.com/upload/rs451_6.jpg Here it is when I bought it. I have worked to remove the incorrect mirrors, have the wheels refinished, replace the incorrect Ducktail among other things. I decided to leave the Gold script for now though.:) http://forums.rennlist.com/upload/or..._quarter_2.jpg |
Very nice.

Thanks Alan.
BTW, a Signal Orange 2.2S coupe would be my ultimate early keeper. We have a 2.2S SO Targa, but you know.... its still a Targa.:D |
Beautiful!!!!!! I think I know the color of my next 911!
