IMO, Tangerine is a great "classic" color for a 911 or 914. That's a great picture, btw.

Rich.....

Yeah it is....greatest trick in the book............Always shoot a picture at the "golden hour", 4.30 pm.....

It's ok, but I like signal orange more.

rattlsnak 07-30-2005 04:45 PM

This is a tangerine '69E with an '82 3.0SC engine. It has 40mm PMO carbs and a 901 tranny......

svonkampen 07-30-2005 08:04 PM

dkm.....Awesome

Hey that is what I will have in 12 days ;-)

So tell me how fast 0-60 is a '69 3.0 Carbd with 901????

dkm_chgo 07-31-2005 05:45 AM

I had a '70T targa (2.2) with webers last summer that seemed to be modified. Maybe S P/C...It liked to rev and be up there in the RPM to get to the higher speeds (90+ mph).

Since the 3.0 was rebuilt stock, the 0-60 seems to be in the 7 sec range. With the bigger displacement, there's a lot more of everything (hp, torque, etc...) and it is difficult to max it out on the street. I was able to keep up with a 996 and we were going 120 mph.....

I'm partial to tangerine (aka Blood Orange) myself.

Am considering the PORSCHE sidescript and a duck...

Larry,

What is the color code on the paint tag? The last year that Bahama Yellow was a standard color was '69.
