I dont' think anyone here likes repo's, and I've only heard of one company making them anyway (cast in Italy). For the price of the repo's in Tweeks (or Mid American Motorworks, whichever it is now) you could get some used Fuchs. 7" R wheels are going to be tough to find and very expensive, I know some people have their deep sixes widened into R width and backspacing. But isn't TRE rolling your lips and doing some fender work? Maybe you can fit normal 7" fuchs with the SC backspacing.

I can't understand why anyone would want to buy a fake POS wheel when there is an endless supply on eBay. Here's the latest for only $300 buy-it-now:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche-911-944-Fuchs-Alloy-Wheels_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43956QQitemZ7989 787764QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

The guy doesn't quote the size, so they may be 7x15s. However, squinting, they look like 8x15s. Ask.

Dvkk,

A set of 7 x 15s (they have to be that ) for a 1000.00$ is really difficult to find.

endless supply???

SCs came with both 15 and optional 16s from the Factory....

My stock...at the time 356 "C" came with 15x4.5s and I was able to bolt on 16x6 Fuchs.....it now has 245/45/16 and 225/45/16 ...but has some nasty flares....%^B

With 16s you also have a larger tire selection....

16's just don't have the vintage look that 15's do. I run 16's on my '69, and they look great, but they are in early finish, and my car is not short-wheelbase. My 15's look much better, IMO.

And a short-wheelbase car should stay as retro as possible. Nothing worse than updated parts on the early-early cars, IMO.

I absolutely agree wth Tyson, 16's don't look right on the oldies...
and if the Racetrack is not where you hang out, Cast wheels are fine. There are some excelllent looking fake fuchs out there, I have a set that was made in japan and I cant tell they're not the real thing..

Too bad you didn't ask about 6 months ago ; a Pal of mine had a set of nice ones that he sold for around $200

Where are all the real 15x7 Fuchs??!! I've been looking for these wheels since I bought my '71.

I'd love to find (4) 15x7 Fuchs with OE factory finish. Early or late wheels...doesn't matter to me.

WTB: Full set of 15x7 Fuch wheels w/ OEM finish

WTB: 15x7 Fuchs in need of refinishing

Porsche 911 Fuchs - 15x7's - Full set - $950 Shipped
(Should've bought this set from Jason....Arghhh!)

I missed out on a couple of sets which I would buy in a heartbeat now.
