Voltage Regulator Parts Question
I need some help. About a mile from home last night the alternator light came on, I pulled over and shut off the engine in case it was the belt. Belt was on and tensioned properly. WHen I got home, voltage reading at the batery with the car idling, with no load was 15.V volts.
My guess is it's the external voltage regulator. The car is a 1980 Euro SC, it has a S.E.V. Marchal 14V external regulator. The photo of the Pelican regulator (C-608-901-00) looks a little different. I can't tell if it has the same eletrical plug connection as mine? Here's what mine looks like. ![]() ![]() Here's the Pelican regulator ![]() Thanks!

John,
I'm not sure what that is a pic of ... The line above it is the correct regulator for a 980 Watt/70 Amp SEV alternator: Voltage Regulator, external (for Motorola 70 amp alternator) 911 (1974) [Photo] C-603-901-00 $63.75 ![]()

Thanks Warren.
The alternaltor I have is a Marchal, and the car is a 1980 SC. I found a picture of the bottom of the voltage regulator (911.603.206.13 which cross references with the pelican part C-603-206-13). Here's a pic of my alternator and bottom side of voltage regulator which also has the three spade connections. I'm prety sure the C-603-206-13 part number is the one I need. ![]() ![]()
