Sound like a wheel bearing????

Have had my 79SC outta service for about 4 weeks doing an ac replacement. Just prior I flushed the brakes and replaced brake fluid and added bleeder valves. Didn't do anything to calipers or bearings. As part of the ac work, I replaced the front condenser and all hoses. I removed the "skid plate" held in place by 2 nuts and 2 allen screws. Everything out and back into the smugglers box. On the first drive around the block, I had failed to replace the skid plate and the allen screws were "in" but not tight. Hadda helluva racket at the right front wheel. Replaced the skid plate and torqued everything down.
Same noise... sound like something is loose, clanging, hitting... worse on bumps. Up and down on the jack countless times. Can't find anything loose... When I grab the top of the wheel and shake it back and forth perpendicular to the line of travel, there seems to be about 1/32" play and a click or clank. The other front wheel seems solid.

Would this indicate a wheel bearing?

Will go to my wrench, but the no good so 'n so is on vacation 'til Monday

My experience with wheel bearings is they sound like they are grinding when turned in one direction only. Turn in the other direction you can usually make it go away.

So duz that mean that dust will help me break? Guess my last wrench had a Beck's or 2 too many... thus the danger of posting pictures!!! Thanks for the notice, I'll change 'em before I post any more pictures...
