OK, I know I need some professional help. I picked up another 911.
The story on the car is that in 87, one could order 'any' color of 911. This is what a sales person told a certain rock star. He told the sales person that he wanted the color of his girl friend's lipstick. Thus it was the first 911 with this color to be shipped to the States. Anyway, anyway to verify story??? According to carfax, it was in Maryland for the 1st part of its life and then went to TX. It was mfr in 12/86 Thanks. Jim

I think the option to order any colour is still available today.
A rockstar first owner should be relatively easy to traceback.

You could always get non-standard colors whether it be Ferrari Light Yellow (FLY), an old Porsche color or "paint to sample" to match your girl's lipstick etc.
