Tip tranny install question
Before you even say it, I know what most everyone will be saying. but Im thinking about putting a tiptronnic tranny into a slower (there are rebuilt 2.7's out there cheap) 911 cab for my wife as I couldnt afford clutches and 915 rebuilds. Has anyone ever put one in a previously manual trans car??? If so, what can I expect besides endless ridicule from my p-car friends. I have trans, flywheel, torque converter, shifter, computer, linkages, ect. I will have to have the hoses made up as they stayed in the old car. Is there anything else I might have to know about this project other than, 'don't do it!' Thanks for technical advice. Mark
