Just a weather update here in Central Washington:
About 2 hours ago a HUGE dust storm blew in and blacked out the sun. Wierd, Weird, Weird, it sprinkled a little and the wind blew pretty hard. About 1/2 hour ago we got absolutely socked in with SMOKE. Somewhere CLOSE a fire has popped up- I worked on a USFS fire crew for several years and this is what it was like when we were ON the fire. No mistake, its close, I'm having flashbacks!! I dont know if that changes the plans for the drive tomorrow, the weather itself should be fine. I'll post more info as I get it and if it should put a wrinnkle in any of the plans. Bob O

Allright, through my endless secret connections (the radio) I was informed it's a false alarm.
Well, no biggie anyway, a small grass fire and some good wind blew the *cough* smoke right through town. All clear now, I think I see meteors acually..... and I have an insider scoop that the road from Twisp to Pateros is one windy SOB in some places. Bring it on. Bob O call you in the morn Glenn!
